The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Shane Prince to a one-year, two-way contract ($700,000 if he plays in the NHL and $120,000 if he's in the AHL).

Prince, 22, set professional career highs in all offensive categories last season, including games (72), goals (28), assists (37) and points (65) in his third professional season with the B-Sens. Prince's 65 points led the B-Sens team.

Prince made his NHL debut on Feb. 16, getting an assist in a 6-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Prince had a hat trick in the AHL All-Star Classic and was named as the left-winger on the AHL's second all-star team.

The Senators' second-round pick (61st overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft, Prince has scored 67 goals, while adding 81 assists in 206 career AHL regular-season games, while recording a plus-42. The left-winger spent his junior career split between the Kitchener Rangers and the Ottawa 67's.
